What is BrewersFest?
BrewersFest is about brewing beer, period.
I brew beer, I like to brew beer and I like to drink homebrewed beer. If you are interested in getting together with homebrewers to brew beer, share techniques, recipes and (of course) beer you should come to BrewersFest.
When is it?
Saturday August 28, 2010
- Friday is set-up
- Saturday is brew day. Please don't start brewing until 11:00 AM and no later than 3:00 PM. BJCP Sanctioned Beer Competition Judging.
- Sunday is tear-down
What's it cost?
There will be no charge if you bring your equipment and brew beer. If you're coming in to visit for the day $10 - the price includes overnight camping.

What's going on?
We have the facilities to support a lot of brewing. Electric, water and sewage is available. There will be a few deep sinks available for clean-up or bring your own deep sink and set it up near your brew area. A 20x40 tent will be set-up for shade (or shelter). We have a big barn in the brewing area where we can brew in the event of rain. Ice and gallons of bottled water are sold in the camp store.
- Porter House Brew Shop will be here brewing beer. They will also be selling homebrew supplies in case you forget something or just need to replenish. If you call ahead to the brew shop at 724.368.9771 you can order your brewing ingredients/supplies and have it here when you're ready to brew. Grain orders must be placed by August 20th.
- Erie Brewing Company will be here with samples and doing some home brewing as well, and giving a seminar on micro-brewing.
- Pittsburgh Dart Association (PDA) tournament
- 3 Live bands
- Outta' The Blue (Country) - 1p-3p
- Generation II (Classic Rock) 4p-6p
- Rich Harper Band (Blues) 7p-9p
- Keg toss
- BIG bonfire Saturday night
- Food: hot dogs, hamburgs, nachos, cold wraps, ice cream, pop and a few other things
Why am I doing this?
Because, like I said, I like to brew beer. There isn't anything like this in the area.
There will be no selling of beer in any way, shape or form.
If you have any questions about BrewersFest or you want to reserve a spot to brew, call me at 724.368.8710.
The first rule of BrewersFest is...Talk about BrewersFest.
