Do I have to make a reservation to camp at Cooper's Lake?

Reservations are only required for camping on holidays and Halloween. All other days open to camping are on a first come first serve basis. Reservations are not taken on those days.

We have a variety of sites including:

  • Oversized: shaded and pull-through

When can I check in?

You can check in during store hours. The store typically opens at 8 A.M. Check out is 3 P.M.

Can we park at our site?

Yes, there is space for parking at your site.

Can we bring our own firewood?

Yes, you can bring your own firewood; however, you cannot leave any firewood when you leave. We also sell firewood by the bundle. Do not gather firewood from the campground. Please protect our trees and shrubs. Do not cut or deface them.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are permitted as long as they are on a leash, quiet and not left unattended. You must clean up after them. Leashes may not exceed 10 feet. Any aggressive behavior by pets is subject to removal of pet and camper.

There is no extra fee for dogs. You do not need to show your dog's vaccination record.

Do you allow swimming?

There is no swimming in the lake or ponds (tributary, snapping turtles, fishing hooks, etc.). Parents please supervise small children near ponds and lake.

Do I need a fishing license?

No, you do not need a fishing license to fish in the lake.

What kind of fish are in the lake?

The lake is stocked with trout, bass, catfish, perch and bluegills.

What kind of boat can I use on the lake?

You can use canoes and boats with trolling motors. All boats and rafts must have life jackets on board. Please wear them.

No, there is a bait shop within a couple miles.
